Brent Fellows was born and raised in the small midwestern town of Keokuk, Iowa.  In 1988 Brent joined the Iowa Army National Guard as a junior in high school and attended his Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training as a Combat Engineer at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.  In 1991 Brent’s unit was activated for Operation Desert Storm and stationed in Vilseck, Germany.

After graduating from Keokuk Senior High in 1989 Brent attended some college but took a bigger interest in being more involved with the family business which consisted of a chain of self-service car wash facilities, quick lube facility, selling and installing car washing equipment throughout the midwest, and a mini-storage facility.

In 2000 Brent decided to further his education and earned his Bachelor of Business degree from Western Illinois University, located in Macomb Illinois, where he double majored Marketing Management and Law Enforcement Justice Administration.

In 2001 Brent decided he wanted to make a difference in his community by running for and winning a position on the Keokuk City Council.  While serving as Councilman-at-Large, Brent also served on the Finance Committee for four years with his final two years serving as Finance Committee Chairman.

In 2007 Brent and his wife choose to make a dramatic change for their family.  Brent had a desire to enter a career in law enforcement for several year but found it challenging in his hometown area due to local small town politics.  So, Brent and his wife sold their small businesses, their home, and moved to Central Florida.  At the time Brent did not have a job lined up with any agency and choose to attend the law enforcement academy at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida.  Shortly after completing the academy Brent fulfilled a dream and became a sworn police officer with the Orlando Police Department.

In 2015 Brent was beginning to feel the increased pressures from his police job.  He felt he needed to do something other than police work on his off time.  Since Brent was an entrepreneur at heart he only felt it natural to start a small business that would not interfere with his work as a law enforcement officer yet provide relief from the job.

Brent wanted to continue working with people and helping small businesses build their brand, grow, and thrive so he started Sheepdog Promotional Products.
